La Maison de Beaumont is an international artist residency situated in the small village of Beaumont-de-Pertuis, in the heart of Luberon, the most beautiful region of Provence. The property was acquired in 2018 by a New Yorker who fell in love with the town and its surroundings.
The residency opened its doors to Resident Artists in the summer of 2020, after 3 long years of renovation. The house has a long history, dating back to medieval times. It was built over the ruins of the Castle of Beaumont in the early 18th century and initially served as the residence for the representative of the king of France. After the French Revolution it was rehabilitated and became the town’s elementary school.
We look forward to welcoming Artists from all over the world, and trust that you will be overwhelmed by the region’s scenery and history.
We love to hear from you, so please email us or contact us.
