ANA (Fall 2024) : Singer & Songwriter
“Music has always been a part of my life, thanks to my parents. Growing up, our home was always filled with everything from Vivaldi to Fleetwood Mac.
I’ve been fortunate to live and create in vibrant cities like Los Angeles, Valencia, Mexico City, and now Miami. Each place has left its mark on me. This residency has brought clarity and focus to my art and created new inspiration.” – Ana Paoloa

JULES (Fall 2024) : Photographer & Painter
“I sort out to gain inspiration from the sunlight filtering and illuminating of this small Provincial town and how it intersects and creates a warm glow amongst the buildings, exteriors and surrounding lavender fields. As I explored and photographed Beaumont-de-Pertuis I began a series of oil pastel drawings to trial designs and colour palettes.” – Jules Stoneham
SUE (Spring 2024) : Painter
“The opportunity of an immersion that slows time and clarifies place, is essential for the creative process. My residency at La Maison de Beaumont was steeped in a rich visual and cultural exploration. Discovering the little village of Beaumont de Pertuis and the surrounding Luberon landscape, in the company of five other artists, seeking the same creative nourishment, provided great inspiration. Works included small studies of form in gouache paint, to constructing a large scale wall panel of papers where I could render the imposing hills of the Luberon through short strokes of charcoal. Working alongside other artists from a range of disciplines was a highlight that will continue to inspire the direction of my practice.“ – Sue
CHRIS (Spring 2024) : Painter
“What a wonderful and delightful group of individuals to share creative space with. I was only lucky enough to have spent two weeks with them. From meaningful discussions about our creative processes to sometimes sharing our fears and feelings as artists. The artwork created and the time spent together was nothing short of magical. This time will be treasured. Many thanks to the staff of La Masion de Beaumont for selecting us and hosting us. It has been an incredible and exciting experience that we all would love to repeat again.. – Chris Zuber
RACHEL (Spring 2024) : Painter
“It’s hard to put into words just how important this residency was for my art practice. I’m a newly full-time artist and I was looking for a residency that would help me develop a daily art practice and allow me the time and space to explore new methods of painting. The goal of my 6-week stay at La Maison de Beaumont was just to create one painting per day. I ended up with over forty watercolors to show in a small exhibition at the end of my stay. Village life is a stark and welcome contrast to life back home in Chicago. I loved getting to know so many other artists from all over the world who I can now call friends, as well as interacting with the locals and practicing my French. A little piece of my heart will always remain in La Maison de Beaumont.” – Rachel Rixen
PETRA (Spring 2024) : Painter
“La Maison de Beaumont offered a place of quiet reflection and beauty that surpassed my expectations. This residency inspired me and brought me back to a place where I remembered how important my painting practice is to me. During my time, I focused on creating art in a new space inspired by history and geography allowing time, meditation, and the Spirit to guide me. The fresh air, reflecting light astonishingly, gave clarity to body and soul. I’m incredibly grateful for my time here. – Petra Zantigh

cold sweats in daylight
fever dream with a red wine
steam showers and brain fog
slick tiles and soft gauze
I know how the night will end
lost in my own senses
numb to your rage
gently in the wake

“We are still in the idyllic picture book village of Beaumont de Pertuis, in Provence, beginning week 5, the final week, of the art residency. We will both miss this place very much and already each day is tinged with sadness.
The glorious sunrises, velvety deep night skies alive with stars and satellites, ancient peaceful villages lanes, the chiming church bells next to us, the swifts swooping and the doves cooing…it is a place that seems to exist outside of time and trouble.” – Jilian Goldberg

“I was lucky to stay in the ‘Provence’ room at La Maison de Beaumont as part of their resident artist program. It is a beautiful refurbished 18th-century building in the center of Beaumont-de-Pertuis, an idyllic village surrounded by vast lavender fields and vineyards. The property had everything I needed to live comfortably for the month, and the surrounding towns were easily accessible by car and bike. It was a memorable space to search for inspiration, generate ideas, connect with the local community and make music! Hopefully I’ll be able to come back again!“

Beautiful place and beautiful people! Thank you !”
GRACE ANN BROMLEY (fall 2021) : Painter
“Shout out to La Maison de Beaumont’s owners who spent the last four years renovating this 16th century home and have generously decided to support artists through their residency program. The space has been preserved so beautifully, it truly feels like you’ve travelled back in time. Built on top of old castle’s ruins, it overlooks Beaumont de Pertuis, a tiny village with a quiet way of life (an absolutely ideal situation for bringing clarity and focus into anyone’s practice). I feel so lucky to have spent a month painting and biking around this gorgeous region. I’ve had a lot of time to observe; the countryside slowly turning flush with warm autumn colors, the once full vineyards becoming completely bare as the harvest season ended, and myself.”
NILOOFAR TALEBI (summer 2021) : Author
“You cannot miss the love and attention that was put into reviving this old building into a state of the art environment for every budget that still manages to retain the essence of Provençal style, beauty, simplicity, quality, and tranquility. The Maison de Beaumont, situated in the quiet and picturesque village of Beaumont de Pertuis, is accessible to hundreds of breath-taking bucolic walks and drives, dining, lake swimming, hiking, wine-tasting, shopping, and more. The villagers could not be nicer. Same goes for the owners and their network that make sure everything is in order and you have what you need. The only drawback: you will not want to leave.“
